The effects of plastic consumption.

Țara Hațegului is considered the cradle of Transylvanian, with the oldest dateable stone churches. This territory stood out in the late Middle Ages through small families of Romanian nobles who founded numerous stone churches, noble courts, and fortifications whose ruins are still preserved. This architectural effervescence took place against the background of the rich construction material from the Roman ruins: Sarmizegetusa Ulpia Traiana, numerous rustic villas, and Roman monuments scattered throughout the territory of the depression.

The stone churches in the Haţeg area can be found in Densuş, Sântămăria-Orlea, Strei, Streisângeorgiu, Prislop, Peşteana, Sălașu de Sus, Sânpetru, Suseni and Ostrov. They are some of the most famous symbols of the Hațeg Country. Their walls combine geology with history, art, and faith, and the stories that surround them are just as many reasons to visit them!
