Association of Ecotourism in Romania
AER or the Association of Ecotourism in Romania is a partnership for nature conservation and tourism development in Romania. It brings together tourism associations, non-governmental organizations for local development and nature conservation, nature conservation projects and travel agencies. The innovative concept promoted by AER is to rally the public and private sectors in a partnership for nature conservation and sustainable tourism development.
Members
AER has 81 members country-wide, most of them small tourism businesses, such as travel agencies specialized in outdoor programmes and rural culture, or guesthouses.
Ecotourism
Ecotourism is a technical term that represents a wide range of activities based on the nature or the local culture inside or near protected natural areas.
Mission
A partnership for nature conservation and tourism in Romania between tourism associations, local development NGOs and nature conservation, nature conservation projects and travel agencies.
