The Romanian Ecotourism Association, together with its partners the Ţara Dornelor Ecotourism Association, the Retezat Tourism Association and the Măgura Ecoturistică Association launch a public call to identify people who want to voluntarily get involved in waste mapping activity in Ţara Dornelor ecotourism destinations, Țara Hațegului-Retezat and Zărnești-Piatra Craiului, within the project For Eco and Tourism, a civic initiative for nature cleaning in Romania (PET Romania).
PET Romania aims to generate a civic movement to address pollution with non-degradable waste in Romania.
The mapping activity is a first step that will help us to draw the attention of local and national authorities to the seriousness of the situation of waste dumped in the environment.
Who is it for?
Residents of the 3 ecotourism destinations.
What will you have to do?
- to come with us on the field in one of the 3 ecotourism destinations;
- use the mobile application * provided by us to mark on the map the areas with waste identified on the route;
- to promote the mission of the project, as well as the respect for nature and the environment;* The application can only be accessed from phones that have Android operating system
When?
- a first pilot stage will take place in November 2021
- we will complete the waste mapping between April and May 2022

In one of the 3 partner ecotourism destinations: Ţara Dornelor, Țara Hațegului-Retezat, Zărnești-Piatra Craiului.
